Moleskine Evernote

I'm a big fan of Moleskine.
And I'm a big fan of Evernote.
It's no wonder I was happy to acquire the Evernote Moleskine when it appeared.
To tell you the truth, I own it for a month and a half already, and I haven't done a single note in it yet. But how would I know it wouldn't disappear the moment it appears, as it happened with the Moleskine Hobbit limited edition. Large notebooks were sold out the same week they showed in the e-shop, so when I came shopping, it was too late, and they had only the black pocket version left. A pity, indeed. Well, there's still a hope they'll do a re-print. Anyway, I already have a dozen of different moleskines, this is a good sign to make a pause.

P.S. You can see my new Kaweco Sport to the right.

Kaweco sport

Finally I started using my new fountain pen.
In my life I had:
• one Hero fountain pen (actually it's my mother's, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's older than me), replica of some Parker
• my husband purchased another Hero on e-bay, but it had a bad nib. Another replica of Parker. Yes, the pen itself is very nice, but I couldn't use it — whether because of problems with the nib, or it just didn't fit me, who knows.
• Waterman Harmonie: one of my favorite pens. I've been using it for several years already, and I'm very happy I purchased it. The nib became a little bit bolder, than finer, but it's ok. It writes softly and smoothy. I'd say you get high just by using it.
• Another Waterman, but Hemisphere. The same problem, as with the second Hero. I purchased it myself, but cartridges do not want to fit tightly, because of this it leaks all the time; and the nib is scratching paper when writing. Awful.
• And now it's Kaweco. It's small, and it's light, and it's of cheap plastic, but you get the right feeling when holding it. I guess I'll be using it in parallel with my Waterman Harmonie.

And it would be a good idea to start using my first Hero again: Nick Ch. gave me a bottle of Parker blue ink. I think I should refill the pen. In this case I'll have three pens with three different colours. It's a good thing to have!

JetPens order

I've got my order from the Jetpens site.

There's no ink cartridges in this photo, but on the top — the little package from the other future post!

I've been planning to get another fountain pen in addition to my old good Waterman Harmony, and 've been deciding on this for several years already (I've purchased the second Waterman pen, the Hemisphere, but it didn't turn out well, now it just collects dust — I didn't like the nib, and cartridges do not fit well inside and dip all the time). After all this years a decision was a little bit of spontaneous: I accidentally got to the jetpens and saw the Kaweko pen there. Love from the first sight. On this photo it's in the nice black box. I'm going to create a separate post for this pen with a test drive and photo session.

Also I couldn't decide on which colour to use, so I've ordered two cartridge packs for it, my favorite Sepia (Havana in the Waterman terms) and Aubergine Purple (something in between Blue-Black and Violet in the Waterman terms).

Also, as I've got a wonderful black-paper notebook from India, I've decided to order a white pen to write in it (I've been looking for it for several years, but without any urgency). And couldn't  decide again, which one I want, so I've ordered two again, Pilot and Pentel. I like both companies, and pens looked too good.

Also I've got the Midori memorandum card! I wanted to try something from Midori for a long time, but notebooks seemed to me too expensive (and actually, I've got a dozen of them, one more notebook wouldn't fit on the shelf), but the memorandum card is another deal.

Well, Kuretake Calligraphy pen to my calligraphy collection. I know I don't do calligraphy much, but I do like the stuff for it (another large future post, or even several).

Everyday stickers

Today received six sheets of South Korean everyday stickers. They're transparent and are easy to glue to different surfaces (like glossy paper etc.). It seems I'm full of stickers till the end of the year. Beware, fellow postcrossers (and other to-whom-it-may-conern)!

First post

As usual. I've been thinking here for a long time whether I want or not to make some blog, like "stationary porn" or "stationary lovers".
From my point of view: I like all this staff. You know, pens, pencils, notebooks, paper. All of them are usual, no rarities or something extraordinary, so I'm not sure that anyone except me may be interested in this. But we'll see what future holds for us.
Gentlemen and ladies, good luck.
